I’ve got the chance to get a copy of your publication BLACK HISTORY 365 (Volume 3, issue two), thanks to my wife Doreen, who shared the reading with me, here in Cuba. I must say that I really enjoyed the reading, even though there are still many articles to read. Really, I felt almost every feature in this latest edition was inspiring and intriguing. I thought Gus John's un-gloved think-piece especially true and powerful. Well done for flagging up the importance of Olive Morris, and for giving space for us to think about the role Cy Grant has played... Having read the page 6 about the Meriken former American Slaves. I immediately knew that you wrote about my relatives. I contacted my father who resides in the USA and inform him of your publication. We discussed it at lenght as he has more knowledge about our family history that me. He also informed my that the Maroons Slaves are also my descendants. He was very honoured to know of this publication and I am in the process of posting the acticle to him.

"I was quite amazed at the detail in the listings of the Black History Month newspaper. And then to get the actual hard copy and be able to see the quality of the production, the number of interesting articles and the quality of writing in the articles as well. In just this one issue there is much to learn about fantastic people of African and Caribbean heritage who have made amazing contributions to this country' history. For all those who say the Black community don't have role models - this paper is mandatory reading. Well done."
