Air Passenger Duty to the Caribbean

IMPORTANT NOTICE: ACTION NEEDED!

The Caribbean has been lobbying the UK government over the fact that the tax on flights to the Caribbean has increased so much in the past two years, but also because the way that the tax is now banded means that the tax on flights to Hawaii is less than the tax to the Caribbean. This is damaging the Caribbean tourism industry but also making it much more expensive for the Caribbean community in the UK to visit friends and relatives.

National African American Congress/Congress of African People

A message to all members of National African American Congress/Congress of African People January 1, 2011 marked the beginning of the International Year for People of African Descent based on UN Resolution 64/169. Two of our newest NAAC members, Diane Urban, Chicago, and Roosevelt King, Barbados have allowed me to team with them to use this event as a mobilization and organizing tool on FACEBOOK, where we have IYPAD sites for all 50 states and working on all countries inhabited by People of African Descent. Please search for your state or country there and join our efforts as outlined below. We look forward to your participation. For example, we have learned that our people in the Caribbean Dutch Islands remain enslaved, and they are using their IYPAD site to tell their story to the rest of us, where the Dutch have cut off their radio programming to communicate to the outside world.
