National Conference on the support needs of BAME families

24 March 2011, Holiday Inn Bloomsbury, Coram Street, London WC1N 1HT

We would like to invite you and/or representatives from your organisation/Department to the conference. The full detail and registration to the conference can be accessed via the link: click here

The conference will:

  • Enable participants to understand some of the challenges facing BAME families with vulnerable young boys and the support that is required to support those needs
  • Engage participants in finding solutions to some of the challenges and opportunities that exist in the raising of aspiration, education attainment and prevention of anti-social behaviour
  • Facilitate the sharing of perspectives, challenge participants to look outside their comfort ‘zones’, to engage with other communities , so as to learn from each other as we build the Big Society together
  • Provide the opportunity for participants to learn about the work of BTEG and the TRIF project in meeting the challenges of race inequality.

We look forward to meeting with you and to share in debate of concerns that are of interest to parents, practitioners and policy makers alike. Further and fuller travelling arrangements will follow at lest two weeks prior to the conference. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
