THE CAMPAIGN TO SAVE BLACK ARTS ALLIANCE STARTS HERE
For 23 years, Black Arts Alliance has worked to profile the creativity
within our diverse Black communities.
BAA’s work includes schools; prisons; the highly successful series of
In My Father’s House work; and of course ACTS OF ACHIEVEMENT, the North
West celebration of Black History month.
Now the BAA might lose its Arts Council (ACE) funding without your
support.
The Arts Council has lost faith in BAA’s work and is considering
disinvestment on July 4th. However, ACE also states that it is still
considering what action to take which means it may well continue to
support BAA. However with only 5 weeks to go it would be crazy for BAA
not to activate a campaign of support.
With your help as colleagues, fellow artists, workshop participants and
off course our audience, BAA could re-secure its Arts Council funding.
- The 40th Pan African Anniversary
- In My Father’s House
- Triangle
- Acts of Achievement
- Mary Seacole – The Opera
- The Black History Trail

Black Arts Alliance is not entering into open combat with Arts Council
but if we wait until July 4th BAA’s future could become history.
May I personally thank you for any support that you are able to give
