                    About Mia Morris
One woman dynamo with irrepressible energy and tenacity
who is not afraid to tell it like it is Mia Morris set
up Well Placed Consultancy having worked in Regeneration,
Public Relations, Event Management, Training and Careers
                      advice.
Mia is a great exponent of the present government mantra
education, education, education. Attending seminars and
reading professional journals are not enough for this diva.
Mia founded the consultancy by using a myriad of skills
in a given day; ‘I need to be able to handle PR,
Training Tutoring Event Management and deliver my own brand
of program specifically tailored for schools called 'Getting
                      Wise To'.
‘I am keen to see how I can put my efforts into
ensuring that our young people and their parents for that
matter are aware how they can meaningfully contribute to
                      society and the economy.
I will not rest on my laurels and do nothing. I am working
on regeneration projects and negotiating with contractors
and then being part of a team creating real solutions to
                      training and skills building.’
During the last academic year we have delivered workshops
with regards to the Black Cake across London, whereby young
people found out more about the art of baking, and had
direct experience of preparing a traditional Caribbean
lunch. These workshops were done on behalf of Youth Aid
who received funding from ‘Young Roots’ Heritage
                      Lotteries.
We were also involved in delivering a series of workshops
across 11 London boroughs with 23 secondary schools on
behalf of the Access to Medicine Team based at King College
London called Rising Stars in Medicine bringing together
young people and African Caribbean Medical professions,
so that young people can gain some insight and get a better
understanding of job and training opportunities in Medicine
                      and allied careers.

What propels Mia forever forward is the belief and the
knowledge that she can make a serious contribution.
