For Fowokan making art is an absorbing journey through the following questions:
- Is there a role for art in the traditional sense in our lives today?
- Is there a need for magic and rituals that mediate between what we have lost, and what we have become?
- Is the purpose of contemporary art to intercede between mankind and the forces of civilisation?
