Is an audio-visual project by Dublab & Quest that seeks to challenge perceptions of mental health in unique and different ways. Featuring conscious poetry and sound collage set to digitally manipulated images that focus on well being, insight and recovery. Forging musical influences from dubstep, alternative hip hop and working alongside spoken word artists exploring themes of identity, unity and empowerment. The Meld exhibition features new works by Quest (Jamaican conscious spoken word artist / rapper) and Patrick Luke (music & digital video producer).
MELD audio-visual exhibition will be in the project space at The Pumphouse gallery, Battersea park from 24 Oct - 6 Nov 2011. The exhibition is part of this years Wandsworth Black History Month, admission is free and open to all.
Meld is supported by Wandsworth Arts, Ogilvy Idea Shop and Rebel Instinct.

WHO / WHAT IS DUBLAB?
The Dublab organisation produces digital music and art with a focus on community & well being. Forging musical influences from dubstep, alternative hip hop and working with spoken word artists exploring themes of identity, unity and empowerment, with an emphasis on using technology to deliver socially conscious lyrics and bass orientated music.

MUSIC RELEASE
To coincide with the MELD exhibition, Dublab is releasing the MELD EP featuring Quest. Music that explores themes of identity and insight from the perspective of those dealing with mental distress. Available as a digital download to order through iTunes, Amazon, HMV and Beatport.
